The Normandy Saw Some Loving
Mass Effect 2 did in fact happen today, and no board games were played at all. Proud of me? In the interest of full disclosure, perhaps I should also mention that I watched Enchanted on TV as well as played a few levels in Skylanders and might have finished reading Catching Fire, but hey, at least some of the day was dedicated to what I should have been doing. The likelihood of that happening tomorrow with ping pong and then a potential movie outing afterwards is lower though.
One of my issues that I need to resolve sooner rather than later is figuring out what my Windows 8 setup on my desktop here at home is going to look like. Option 1 is just do an upgrade on top of Windows 7, jump in entirely with both feet, and hope nothing is too broken. Since I’ve successfully offloaded my Media Center duties to another computer, that’s actually a very possible solution. Options 2 and 3 involve dual booting between Win 7 and Win 8, but they differ by which OS gets my SSD. I would expect most of my time to be spent in Win 8, so that lends weight to the option of putting it on my SSD, but then I have to move my current install over to another drive. The more I think about it, with my WHS already acting as the storage location for all my media and other stuff I wouldn’t want to lose in a disaster, just going the single OS install route is probably going to be the one that causes me the least headaches overall.
