No Reason To Write Home, But Here I Am
Dallas, 1:40 AM (10/29): Yep, last minute Dallas trip for family issues, but all it really meant for today was that I didn’t have to sit through watching the Rangers lose the World Series. Losing 4-3 stings a little more than losing 4-1 because you’ve pretty much accepted your fate with the latter. Apparently for yet another year, it just wasn’t meant to be.
Overall, there’s actually quite a bit to reflect on and enjoy about the season. Record number of wins, making it to a second consecutive World Series, and winning three game in it instead of only one. Besides, if you asked the “experts” before the season started, there was no way we were going to make it back here after losing Cliff Lee, so really we exceeded expectations just like last year. The biggest disappointment is just knowing how close we were yesterday, twice even. Third time is the charm?
