Exercising My Culinary Skills
Part of my AmazonFresh order was ingredients to try my hand at cooking (what I believed to be at the time) a simple meal: Beef and Broccoli with some fried rice on the side. It probably would have been easier if I owned a couple more pans (and measuring utensils), but nothing exploded and it was actually above average in the taste category. The fried rice turned out amazing in my opinion, and the beef was good but the brown sauce could use a little tweaking. Well, there are about a million and a half different recipes online for it, so when I finish up using my ingredients later this week, I’ll try a different one for the latter.
You’ll notice that my leading paragraph was about cooking and not about the Rangers game. That would be because they lost, and it’s not nearly as fun to talk about it when they do. The Rangers are also 0-3 on game days when I wear my Rangers shirt, so maybe the trick is that it should just be a way to show my support for them in the offseason. Or at least for the remainder of the postseason, on days when they don’t have a game to play.
