Too Many Things To Watch
Tonight was the first time with my new TV setup that I’d ever had a problem with only being able to watch a single thing at a time. I know, it’s a little weird to be saying that, but dual tuner DVRs are nice, and that’s just a luxury that I don’t have at the moment. Between the end of Monday Night Football, Terra Nova, and Gossip Girl all starting at 8:00, Terra Nova won out. Not a bad choice since I ended up liking it, I still saw the gamecast online for the Cowboys victory, and Gossip Girl will be easy enough to watch online later this week. Now that I know this setup works and I like it though, I may just have to invest in a multi-tuner solution and prevent this problem from recurring every Monday evening (although without the MNF).
I haven’t gotten around to really reinstalling any of my programs so far, and I likely won’t until I need them. Unfortunately that then creates the situation where it takes me longer to actually start using it once I do need it, but it also keeps my computer as nice and clean as possible. Given my return to a smallish main hard drive, that’s not a bad thing to have going on.
