Seattle Can’t Take a Little Heat
So it was in the 80s yesterday, and we were standing in a large, unconditioned, open to the elements warehouse stuffing bags. I’ll very willingly admit, it was warm, but nothing unbearable. Apparently those people who feel that anything over 75 is a massive heatwave (read: people who grew up in the Seattle area), yesterday was incredibly hot and absolutely miserable. Uh, sorry, but no. 100 degrees might have been a little toasty, but 80s? Please, I know one place in particular that would kill for that right about now.
If this weekend was the start of the proverbial PAX train, it’s just picking up steam over the next couple days and is going to be at full speed come Thursday evening. Actually, I sort of like this metaphor. Even though the activities might be over and done with by Monday evening, it takes the train about another week to slow down and stop before everything feels “normal” once again. To quote some of the Penny Arcade people from yesterday when we were in full shirt mode, “is this real life??”
