Managing My Social Network
With so many social networks people are seemingly expected to converse on now (Facebook, Twitter, and the rising star of Google+ being the three primary), it can be just a little confusing to remember exactly where people want to be contacted. Facebook is the only one that integrates natively (at the present time) on my phone, Google+ I haven’t even tried to do anything in the mobile space, Facebook and Twitter I have desktop solutions for use at home (IE9 pinned site and MetroTwit, respectively) but still have to manually go check Google+ for anything of interest… I’m all for a diverse and healthy competitive ecosystem, but a little simplification wouldn’t be rejected by yours truly.
Andrew and I spent part of the day discussing/debating which movie we wanted to go see on Thursday since 1) we get to bring a guest, 2) pretty much my entire team is on vacation, 3) going to a movie alone would be boring, and 4) the place we’re going is just like 9 floors beneath where he sits at work. Currently the choices seem to be narrowed down to Captain America (my choice since it’s part of The Avengers and I obviously haven’t seen it) and Harry Potter (Andrew’s choice because he just really, really loved the movie). It may be determined in part by the start times or availability of tickets, but I’m willing to go see either, so it isn’t likely going to be that big of an issue.
