I Don’t Blame You, Murphy…

May 4th, 2011 @ 11:46 PM

For the first 7.5 innings of the game last night, I was actually quite content with how things were going. Texas was either up or tied for that entire duration of the game, but then the bottom of the 8th happened which ultimately led to the loss. The Rangers’ left fielder, Murphy, who we had been sitting near throughout the game, had a chance in the 9th to get a base hit and tie the score, but it wasn’t meant to be. It’s cool though, Murphy; I don’t blame you for the loss, and the Rangers won tonight anyway (with better weather even).

Also in sports news, the Mavs are making me quite happy with their recent performances, and I don’t even have to feel slightly guilty about not supporting a Seattle team! Everyone in Dallas is all too aware of what a 2-0 series lead does (or doesn’t mean), but I at least have some hope for a favorable outcome. Unfortunately any chance for me to see them in the playoffs occurred with the previous series in Portland, but I can support them just as well from the comfort of my own computer screen.
