No Adjustment Required to My Life

March 20th, 2011 @ 11:57 PM

As a part of my “nothing at all to do” Sunday, I decided that a movie was in order. Because this was a spur of the moment decision, I was somewhat restricted in my available choices unless I wanted to wait (which I didn’t). The Adjustment Bureau, not a movie that I felt an overbearing urge to go see but one that was at the right time and had decent reviews, was the winner.

It was a movie that I felt was trying to be like the Bourne series (you know, people chasing after Matt Damon), but the exposition/action balance was tilted to heavily toward the former. The pacing could have also used an improvement since I wanted the last 20 minutes to be about the midpoint of the movie. It was good, I wouldn’t mind watching it again, but I don’t think it’s worthy of a DVD purchase. That puts it in a weird position with my scoring since those two things normally don’t happen with the same movie. My score: 7.5/10.
