Contributing to the Microsoft Family
Accomplishments today related to my immediate job description were minimal. That’s not to say that I didn’t heavily benefit Microsoft in other ways though. Most of my day was spent setting up an ARM device for my team to use for testing purposes, so if you want to include that in my description, then I was extremely productive. Otherwise, my day was all about contributing to other teams. At last count, I reported bugs/issues to the Zune, IE, and Bing teams, all of which with enough information (and supplementing media) so that the respective issues could be reproduced. If I wasn’t a PM, today proves that I might just have success as a tester.
Even though I’m still WoW addicted, I’m downloading LotRO so that I can at least start playing it (again) and use my PAX free item code before it expires. I have the same thing to do with DDO, so I’m sure you’ll see a similar post relating to it before too long. I may never play the games again, but I will expend a bunch of effort just to get something free, and especially if that free thing is time limited.
