There’s The Addiction I Know and Love
Ahhhh, something about sitting in front of my computer, playing WoW, and then having 3-4 hours gone in the blink of an eye is just very familiar and relaxing. It’s also a completely valid way to spend the weekend, even if my original plan may have been to use most of that game playing time on 3D Dot Game Heroes instead. See, my justification is that Heroes isn’t going anywhere (offline, single-player PS3 game) while WoW continues to evolve even while I’m away from it. So really, it makes even more sense for me to play nothing but WoW at the present.
PAX will either kill the addiction by introducing an ill timed week long break right towards the beginning. However, it could do the opposite and only amplify it after being around games virtually 24/7 for an entire week. Check back with me in a few weekends to see the outcome of that, but until then, I’ll just keep enjoying my current level of addiction.
