The Best of My CES

January 11th, 2011 @ 11:59 PM

So this was supposed to be my post yesterday, and I kind of…forgot. Never fear, it shall be my post tonight!! I saw a ton of stuff, and after getting to see lots and lots of stuff that I wanted, I think I have a much clearer picture about where I want to go tablet wise. As cool as some of the new Windows 7 models that were introduced are, after playing around with them, it would really be almost more of a laptop replacement which I really don’t want at this point in time.

So the winner of the tablet game? Very, very likely it will be the Motorola Xoom. 10.1 inches, all the connectivity slots I feel that I need, Android Honeycomb (which from the demo video released looks absolutely sweet), and it will even work on Verizon’s 4G network if I ever feel the need to get a data package for a month because I’ll be using it in a remote location. The only deal killer at this time would really be price, but I was ready to spend in the $600 range, and if it’s more then that, there I think will be greater issues than just me not buying it.

To wrap up my CES coverage, this was a picture we had taken in the Microsoft booth of all of us with the Messenger Buddy:
