No Reasons Not To Start

January 20th, 2011 @ 11:57 PM

I’ve lost track of the number of times that I’ve said I wanted to start learning ASP.NET, but with the recent release of a bunch of components that I was justifying my delaying until they came out, I guess I really don’t have much to stand on anymore. Oh well, weekend is coming up, so maybe this is a sign that I should finally get around to starting. If I don’t I’m sure I can find more reasons not to, but even I’ll admit those would be pretty weak arguments.

Tomorrow I have a meeting at 9:00 (boo), but my last one is over at 3:00 (yay) so I can offset having to go in earlier than usual by leaving slightly earlier assuming nothing comes up to keep me at work longer. The interim time is decently busy also, so it’s fortunately not that case that I have to go in early only to be bored out of my mind. I find it amusing how the mindset of devs is that if they have two meetings in a day they feel like that’s being way too unproductive, but for PMs if at least half our day isn’t meetings, we feel the same.
