Letting Entertainment Roulette Decide My Evenings

January 19th, 2011 @ 11:59 PM

Last night the wheel landed on a movie (which was School of Rock), tonight it was all about the games. I decided that it was probably time to start making a dent in the pile of Amazon games I have stacked on top of my desk, so I went with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune for PS3. I had played the demo of it shortly before the second one came out and wasn’t super impressed, but I think I got it in a “buy 2, get 1 free” sale, so I figured it was worth another shot. Turns out that when you have the first three levels to gradually build up your skills (the demo is the fourth “level”), it’s actually quite a fun game with a reasonable difficulty curve.

I didn’t succeed in my attempt to make tomorrow interesting, so I’ll probably use my large amount of office time to work on my mid-year review stuff. It’s actually named pretty poorly considering we don’t get around to doing our start of year stuff until about three months into the year, so it’s really a “quarter-year review”. I recall this seeming extremely strange to me last year, but by now, I’ve learned to just go with it.
