That Wasn’t the Expected Experience

December 17th, 2010 @ 11:13 PM

Dallas, 1:10 AM (12/18): Well ok then…last night was interesting on multiple levels. Let’s go ahead and start off with the apparent bigger news, which is how the WordPress WP7 app absolutely failed at posting what I told it to. Part of the bugs I was mentioning had to do with inserting tags (italics, etc.), hence why “Tron wasn’t italicized (even in my recreated post I stayed true to that. If you missed what actually got posted (and I assume everyone did), none of my actual past made it through, but it was a random collection of tags that were inserted in the middle of each other, didn’t match up opening and closing, and basically just one entirely glitchy mess. So, apparently I’ll be waiting for a bug fix before trying that again and actually testing it from in front of a computer next time. Lesson learned.

Tron on the other hand was a decent, not amazing (story-wise) movie, although the visuals and sound I do have to give props to. Andrew made the comment that it might be his new favorite movie ever; it was never in the realm of challenging Dragon for me. Overall, I’m glad I saw it even though I would have been fine waiting until this weekend (or the next one, or the one after that), and while it’s right on the boundary of whether or not to get it on DVD, I likely will. My score: 7.5/10.
