The Games Might Have To Take a Backseat

November 12th, 2010 @ 11:58 PM

So, as much as I’d like to do nothing but play games all weekend (and both PvZ and LBP saw some action today), I actually remembered that I have another, much higher priority task to do. Before the end of Sunday I need to both watch the movie version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as reread Deathly Hallows in preparation for the movie next week. Given enough dedication I can do the book in a day, and then the movie is just a two hour investment or so (and thanks to my WHS, no DVD retrieval needed). Completely doable, just unfortunately at the expense of possibly beating Bowser’s Inside Story.

Regardless of where I get in my DS gaming, I think I’ll be taking my PSP down to Dallas in yet another attempt to actually beat Final Fantasy Tactics. The logic behind this decision is 1) to actually spread my playing all around and give my PSP some love, 2) because FFT is technically kinda sorta a prequel to FFT Advance which is a game I’d like to actually play, and 3) if I want to get FFTA 2, beating the first would be a nice gesture. Even with all that justification, will I beat it? All historical signs point to likely not, but I’m willing to give it another try anyway.
