Not an App For Everything Yet

November 20th, 2010 @ 9:41 PM

It in no way makes me love my Focus any less, but it is apparent that Apple has had a two year head start on having apps developed for the iPhone. For example, if I wish to remotely post, I’d either need to set my emailing system back up or just use the web interface on my browser since there’s no WordPress app yet. I still have to keep my iPhone around to be my Battle.net authenticator since I can’t yet do that with my phone (although I may set up the version where it just calls you if it thinks a login is suspicious). No Wikipedia browsing app yet. On the other hand, the iPhone has no Zune integration nor does it have the Office capabilities that WP7 does. Pros and cons to both, but I have faith the cons of WP7 will be taken care of in a short time.

I’m determined to beat Bowser’s Inside Story before Wednesday so that I can devote my entire trip to actually playing (and ideally finally beating) FF Tactics without needing to worry about getting distracted by other games. The one exception to that might be that I play some WoW while in Dallas just to get in on the last bit of time before the expansion comes out. Still, I have a goal, and I am most definitely dedicated to actually trying to accomplish it.
