My Predictions Just Aren’t Meant To Come True
Obviously, I’m referring to the fact that the Rangers lost tonight and therefore also lost the World Series. It still ended in 5 games, but it was 1-4 instead of 4-1. Now, hopefully the Rangers just won’t pull a Cowboys, and next year they can do just as well and make it back.
Not so obviously, I’m also referring to what I said about how How to Train Your Dragon would win Best Animated Film at the Oscars this year. My DVD of Toy Story 3 arrived from Amazon today, and as if the universal critical acclaim and the over $1 billion in revenue it’s made wasn’t enough of an indicator, it was pretty good. Not my favorite Pixar movie (still Monsters Inc. and The Incredibles), and I still hold that Dragon is the better movie for this year, but I can already tell you right now that Toy Story 3 is going to be what wins.
