An Alternative Default for the Weekend

November 13th, 2010 @ 9:10 PM

I’ve decided to try a short experiment for the weekend, and some people would consider me crazy for it. Even with all the bad things I’ve said about it, I’m trying out Chrome as my default browser instead of using the IE9 beta. Really my only complaint with it is still the weird tab situation, but as long as I just manage to keep my number of tabs in check, then it’s still serviceable for my needs. Just for the fun of it I might try and see what it would take to hack in an option to add in my desired space, but that’s a project for another time and place.

Since I didn’t get around to watching HP6 last night and not wanting to start reading 7 before I did, we’re going to have to see if I can fit in reading the entire thing tomorrow. Considering I can read the longest of the books in a day it shouldn’t be impossible, but if I need to spill over to finishing it up Monday or Tuesday, I should be able to without any significant issues. I’m sure that I’ll be repeating this process next July when Part 2 comes out, but the lack of any problems now should translate to just as easy of a time then.
