The Weather Gods Didn’t Get the Memo
Dallas, 11:40 PM: Last night there were apparently some big storms in the Dallas area. This was completely unapparent to me (aside from being notified through Facebook) because the weather was just about perfect down at Baylor. However, according to my parents, it took out the power at our house for around 5 hours or so. Had I been here, that would have been time where I effectively had nothing but my DS to entertain me. As it turns out, I got quite lucky with the timing of my mini-trip. Only problem now is that the weather gods are going to be pissed that they somehow missed the fact I wasn’t in Dallas, and I’m going to have to fear exactly what retaliation will be coming my way.
I should be good tomorrow with a post from Seattle (barring aforementioned retaliation), so expect this to be my last Dallas post until Thanksgiving. Still, that’s only basically two months away, and while the trip won’t be as long, it’s even shorter until the next time I ‘m back here after that. You know what, calendar gods, having the big holidays spread out throughout the year a little more evenly would be kinda nice. Think you could get on that sometime soon?
