Still Pending an Upgrade
The upgrade I was going to do to my WHS machine last week didn’t happen, and the CDs to do so are still sitting here on my desk, mocking me. Part of the reason is that I want to make sure I have everything backed up first before doing it since replacing the data on it wouldn’t be impossible, but it would be extremely time consuming. Personally, I’d rather just not have to deal with that at all. On the plus side, backing everything up and then doing the upgrade will be a great excuse for then using my external hard drive (said backup device) for actually being used a backup of the data since I currently have nothing in place along those lines.
Andrew and I have both registered for PAX in September, but unlike Quakecon, the BYOC part of it happens after the fact (and is also much smaller). I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I want to do that part since just the expo floor was enough to keep me entertained last year, but if I do, then the problem of getting my computer there and back comes into play. It was a pain enough to do at Quakecon, so perhaps I’ll just take my laptop and use it since I don’t exactly plan on being at a computer all that much during my time there anyway.
