Above and Beyond

May 2nd, 2009 @ 11:53 PM

I finally finished up reading Deathly Hallows earlier tonight (since I had a week or so of projects and needing to read Wicked), and I’ll probably go back and read Chamber of Secrets just so I can say that I read all of the books this semester. I’ve done a significant amount of the reading using PDF version on my computer, so this has definitely convinced me of the nicities of eBooks. Hitting a key on my keyboard is much nicer than having to turn a page and hold a book in such a way so that you don’t have to reposition your hands to see all the words on a page.

I spent a couple hours this afternoon hooking up a new computer for Brandon’s mom, and I’ll be going back tomorrow afternoon to finish the job. She decided to go with a Mac mini, so I had the pleasure of learning all of the built in Apple apps “on the job” as I explained how to use them. Hopefully it’ll just be intuitive enough for her, and I won’t constantly have to field questions that I have no idea what the answer is.
