Always Knew Pigs Would Cause Problems
Due to the big (possibly somewhat overblown) concern over “swine flu” (why they didn’t just call it “pig flu” is beyond me, I guess people with medical degrees just wanted to sound smart), UIL has suspended all competitions until May 11th. This means that there won;t be a game this Friday, nor will there be a first round playoff game next week. As of right now the banquet is still on for Monday, but if HP shuts down for a week or so like Fort Worth did today, who knows when that will get rescheduled for. TEA and College Board have to be loving this since it comes right in the middle of the end of year tests, but like at UTD has been pretty much unaffected by the whole thing.
I’m still on track to finish my HP class project tonight, study for my DB test tomorrow morning, and then start working on my final two project beginning tomorrow afternoon. With nothing happening on Friday now, I can use that time even to work on my projects. Actually, that’ll probably end up being WoW time, but until then I can at least make it sound like I’ll be productive then by saying I’ll do work on my projects.
