Computers Can’t be Put in Timeout
As if to say welcome back to school, the work I tried to do on my next database class assignment failed miserably. What needs to happen is that I need to be able to talk with the database server over TCP/IP so that the program we write can ultimately run against a server running on a different machine, but as of now I can’t even get it’s configuration program to talk to it that way, much less any other program of my choosing. I’d pay good money to be able to fold my arms, blink my eyes, and have everything working perfectly even if I had no clue why. For all I care the magic internet gerbils can be the cause of it working.
Tonight during Chuck I was texting Jess (you didn’t think yesterday’s post was going to be a one time thing, did you?) about the episode while it was going on, and it was both weird yet entertaining to have that side conversation going on at the same time. Typically we talk about Chuck during the ride on the bus or at the baseball game the next day, so apparently we’re going to have to come up with another topic for our conversation at Rl Turner tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t be about how much our team sucks or how miserable the weather is, but I think it’s a pretty safe bet that we won’t be straying into those areas.
