Getting Onboard the eBook Train

February 2nd, 2009 @ 11:53 PM

With Austin and Park City looming within the next two months, I figured that it would be nice to not have to carry books around with me in order to get all my reading done. Therefore, I downloaded an app onto my iPhone that basically turns it into an eBook reader. I grab e-versions of the books I need to read, throw them on my phone, and I can basically read anytime, anywhere. In my car, on a bus, up in a plane…you name it. I probably will pass trying to read while snowboarding down the side of a mountain though.

Part of the beauty of my schedule is the fact that while I can “wake up” semi-early, I can also stay in bed for quite a while. Case in point, I have my alarm set to go off at 9:00 every morning. Now, it normally goes off, I hit snooze a couple times, then I get bored of that game and go ahead and turn the alarm off. I don’t actually get up right then though, but I can rest and stay in bed for another good 30 minutes to an hour if I want. I was telling a friend that while I had to go to school 15 minutes later in the day than he did, I also got to start about 5 hours later. I think I’ll definitely take my schedule over his.
