Appreciate the Invention of Pants
2009 B.C.: Caveman 1 – “Man, my legs are quite cold. I wish I had something to keep them warm.”
Caveman 2 – “Hey, take this animal fur and try wrapping it around your legs, maybe it will help.”
Caveman 1 – “Hmmm, let’s see… Brilliant, this is awesome!! What should we call this new invention?”
Caveman 2 – “I dunno….leg fur?”
Caveman 1 – “No, that just doesn’t have the right ring to it. I know, how about ‘pants’? I think that works quite well.”
2009 A.D.: Weather gods, we need to have a chat. You do not make me think that today is going to be a high in the 70s and sunny, and then turn it into low 60s and windy. Fortunately, I have friends with jackets and blankets that solved my “no jacket, no pants” problem. Watch yourselves, weather gods; you really don’t want to push me.
