Bolt was a decent movie, nothing awesome and just slightly below my expectations for it. Perhaps I’ve just grown accustomed to Pixar’s animated movies and that’s why Bolt wasn’t quite up at the bar for me, but it was definitely entertaining and not a bad movie by any stretch of the imagination. Probably not a purchase, possibly a rental. My score: 7/10.
Tomorrow my day will be a whole lot of nothing followed by some ultimate frisbee. That’s also the plan for Saturday only with frisbee being slightly earlier in the day so that more nothing follows it. I’m sure I could find many ways to fill up the nothing, but do I want to? There is a reason it’s called a month “off” after all.

I think not, for there is always something to say. Whether or not other people want to hear it is an entirely different matter. A matter that, if it wasn’t already painfully obvious, I don’t particularly care about.
Bolt is pretty much my whole agenda for tomorrow which can say a lot about my life at the present time. First, I don’t have school. Second, I either think Bolt will be a good movie, or I feel that I have nothing better to do with my time. Third, I’m not being held captive by aliens who want to destroy the planet and make me their leader. You can figure out what else it means.

With three TV show seasons converted courtesy of my server, tonight I’m going to be throwing some movies at it to see how well at handles that. Actually, it shouldn’t handle it any differently than it’s been handling the TV episodes except that there will be fewer and it’ll take longer to do each one. End result is the same though, so neither I nor it really care all that much.
Tomorrow is my busiest day of the week, but even then it’s not that busy. At 2:00 there’s going to be another meeting at UTD about the game event, and hopefully with enough planning done in advance, we won’t all be scrambling the week before to get things done. It’d be pure awesome if everything was completely finalized a whole month before, but I think that has about as much chance of happening as me failing one of my classes this semester.

With my project turned in and my last class out of the way, I can now officially say that I’m almost done with this semester (save for my very likely only one final exam). Alas, that final exam is not until a week from tomorrow, so I get to pretend to be on vacation for a while and then have to go back to school for about 3 hours. Actually, probably not even that long. More like 45 minutes to an hour. Then I can be officially done, until January 12th anyway.
With two more DVDs arriving from Amazon today (The Dark Knight and Horton Hears a Who!), I’m amassing quite the backlog of DVDs to watch. According to my quick post search, The Dark Knight somehow managed to escape getting a rating, so that will be forthcoming posthaste. Horton got a 9/10 back in March (yeah, long time to wait for the DVD), and I’ll determine whether or not it has aged well over the past 9 months.

My parents and I were discussing possible vacation options over my mom’s and my spring break, and the focus seems to be mainly on going to Park City, Utah. There was the possibility of going to Seattle for a couple days also, but due to me having baseball stuff to do, that might be a separate mid-May trip or so. So, at least two vacations/trips away from Dallas before I move to Seattle not counting anything that I have for baseball. Maybe I should work on getting that countdown timer working again…
Tomorrow I actually have to make two trips to UTD. One will be for my normal class, but the other has to be a pre-noon visit so that I can drop off my game document. I’m not really sure of the logic behind the deadline, but since I don’t sleep that late, getting my project there on time should pose no problem.

After getting the DVD a week or two ago, I finally watched Wall-E again tonight. I liked it just as much as the first time, and Pixar can still seem to do no wrong even when initial trailers for movies look like the most random ideas ever. Hey, as long as their movies continue to be good, they can come up with whatever ideas that they want to.
The past few DVDs that I’ve gotten have also some with a “digital version” that can be downloaded. While I like the idea, I’ll contine to break the law and rip my own so that I don’t have to deal with the DRM. For less tech-savvy people I could see the digital versions being nice, but then you have to take into account the fact that they might not ever be able to get to them in the first place.

I’m only just now almost at 72 in WoW while other people have already leveled up to 80 once and then some. I guess I really don’t see the point of racing through content that took two years to make when it’s not like it’s going anywhere. I’ll take my time playing the game and also having a life at the same time, thank you very much.
Tomorrow is another day of needing to do absolutely nothing for me, and I’m totally fine with that. I’ll probably split my tiny amount of school work left between tomorrow and Sunday so as to not overwhelm me. Games, TV, homework, more games, more TV? I think I can afford that tiny sliver of my schedule.

So, if there’s one thing about that fact that I’m “done” with school but not really done that’s bothering me, it would be the fact that I basically have nothing else to panic about. Even my game class project has less than an hour of work needed on it, and typically that would be the type of thing that I’m scrambling to finish at the last minute. It seems like something is going to jump out at me from the shadows that I’ve forgotten about, but for now, everything is fairly calm.
Sam and I played Rock Band 2 and Halo 3 over Live earlier this afternoon (my first multiplayer experience with the former), but that was the extent of my gaming for the day. I finally got hit with the clue bat and set up our server to do some of my DVD ripping so that I wouldn’t tie up my main desktop with things like that. Fortunately the clue bat doesn’t weigh too much, so I came away relatively uninjured.

It didn’t really strike me until just an hour or two ago, but I’m basically done with school this semester. Now that my three tests are out of the way, I really have nothing else big to do. Sure, there’s a tiny bit of stuff I have due on Monday, but aside from that, I’m pretty close to being on vacation. Ahhhh, vacation.
Not only do I have tomorrow free from football, but I’m going to have Friday free also. I already said that it would probably feel weird, and it’s already starting to. free time is not something that I’m extremely used to come the end of the week after months and months of football, and then right around when I start to get used to it again, baseball comes along and steals it from me. Bad, baseball, very bad!!!

4 years, 6 months, and 18 days (or 1663 days total) has this blog existed on the internet. Today, 633 days later than it should have come, this is post 1000. The math still works out closer to a post on average every 2 days rather than every day, but maybe by post 2000 I’ll have changed that.
In a small break from making my (permitted) cheat sheet for one of my tests tomorrow, I went through one of my backup CDs and uploaded some photos to Facebook from during high school. I could probably spend another hour or two going through what’s on the CD, but that might be time better spent tomorrow night, after I have a feeling of how well (or not) I did on my tests.
