Training has Nothing on Quakecon

August 1st, 2008 @ 11:57 PM

In my very important opinion, the whole process of taking my computer to Quakecon yesterday was much more physically exerting than training football or baseball is. Ok, baseball is kind of a joke except for then the bus lets us off a mile from the field, but we have to do a whole lot of work for each football game. However, according to my body, it would rather do the training work (and just make me exhausted) rather than taking my computer to Quakecon because when I woke up this morning, my arms and legs ached. I’m estimate that a good half of the stuff we have to get ready for football is heavier than my computer case, so why my body decided to be in pain as a result of yesterday, I’m not entirely sure.

My plan had been to go see The Dark Knight tomorrow, but since my grandparents have to go to a funeral in East Texas, that is being delayed until Monday. As a result, I’ll probably stay at home until lunch time and then head out to Quakecon for 6 hours or so before bringing my computer home tomorrow night. The more I’ve thought about it, my Shuttle probably would have been plenty powerful for the games I’ve been playing there, and I wouldn’t have had the problem described above today. Oh well, next year maybe?
