The Unexpected Indeed
As if on cue from yesterday, the unexpected happened once again today. When I got to the stadium about 2:50, I was informed that I actually wasn’t going to be travelling to Red Oak this evening but instead staying at the high school and helping there as originally planned. That was great and all, but unless I wanted to do a whole bunch more mindless driving (which I didn’t), I had about two hours to kill at the stadium before any sort of preparation for the games was going to take place. As a result, I was recruited to help with setting up for the varsity practice and I then went and killed some time by bothering the baseball players while they did their off-season stuff. Always an adventure, that’s for sure.
So, with my GRE tomorrow, I’m going to be doing some last minute studying for it tonight. The software they provide still sucks, but it’s at least manageable. I may take it twice like I did the SAT because even without doing any additional prep, my SAT score jumped 70 or 80 points the second time I took it for no apparent reason. Who am I to argue with results like that??
