Completely Out of the Park
For lack of a better term, I completely owned the math section of the GRE today. My verbal score of 540 (out of 800, like the SAT) could have been better (although you try finding the antonym of a word you’ve never seen before when all of the answer choices are also words you’ve never seen before), but I’m happy enough with it. Math, however, couldn’t have been any better. Yep, I made a perfect 800 on that part, and if I had to choose one to do better on, I’m glad math was it. Granted, those are “unofficial’ scores, but since it was all computer graded, I don’t really forsee them changing any. I’ll get my official score report in a week or two with my writing score, and then my score report gets sent off to different schools around the country that hopefully want to give me money to go to graduate school there.
Tomorrow’s game (at 7:30, not 8:00 — schedule change once again) could potentially give HP its 700th all time win, a mark never reached by any school in the state of Texas so far. We thought that we were tied with Amarillo at 699 going into the State game last year, but apparently they only had 698. Good for us because it gives us a chance to reach that milestone alone, but there’s more to this season than just reaching 700 wins. Another state championship perhaps?
