As Much as I Want to Hate Them…

June 27th, 2008 @ 11:49 PM

I still harbor some resentment towards Sony for the absolute and complete arrogance they had going for a little while, especially before the PS3 launched. That said, with the purchase of my PS3 today and playing around with some of its features, I really have to give them credit for making this a nice experience. I’ve heard that it hasn’t always been like this and that the recent store update was probably a big factor in my happiness, but since I didn’t have any previous experience/knowledge, I have to give it high marks. The XMB interface that was brought over from the PSP I have to say I really like, and it is a very stark contrast to how busy and cluttered the 360 dashboard and blades appear.

I don’t have a movie excursion planned for tomorrow, so I’ll probably (or should anyway) spend the day working on my SE project and Japanese paper. Due to my absence for two weeks from SE, I’m doing the project by myself rather than in a group like everyone else. Granted, I told the teacher before I left that I felt I could do the project on my own, so rather than trying to work me into an existing group, he let me stay by myself. While this means I can work at my own pace and ultimately am the only person responsible for my grade, it also means that I have to do all the work. Considering I’ve almost always enjoyed working alone more than in a group, my guess is that I’ll enjoy this project much more than I otherwise would.
