Battleground of the Internet

April 30th, 2008 @ 11:39 PM

The server that I (currently) play on in WoW with Andrew has down virtually all day because of weird lag issues that a group of servers has been having for the past week or so, and Blizzard apparently wasn’t having too much success in determining what the problem was. What was supposed to be just a small downtime turned into a whole day event, so I haven’t ventured into Azeroth or Outland any today. Before I go to sleep, I’m probably going to try some more Mass Effect and hope I am able to read what’s going on. If that fails, then there’s always Mario Kart.

Quakecon registration began earlier this evening, and you’d think that after having it this many times, they’d be able to come up with a solution that doesn’t involve their server crashing and burning for an extended period of time. About an hour later everything worked fine though, so I’m now registered for that at the end of July. Being able to have a very flexible summer schedule will be nice with respect to that.
