Transformation of My Day

July 26th, 2007 @ 11:18 PM

The first approximately 10 hours of my day sucked. I could rant on and on about how much I hate my internship, but I’ll spare you that since it wouldn’t be that pretty. In the juxtaposition of work and home, however, my day has been awesome ever since I came home. First off, my grandmother emailed me telling me that I am now officially the owner (by proxy for the next week or so) of a Wii. I emailed my grandparents about 2 weeks ago asking them to keep an eye out for one around where they live since I was not having much luck here, and she played the daily calling game until she found one. By the time she brings it down to me on her next trip to Dallas, it’ll be approximately 9 and a half months since the launch. I never planned on it taking this long, but now that I effectively have one, I can concentrate more on the games that are coming out for it over attempting to track down a console.

After I learned about this bright spot, I went with a couple of my friends to go see Transformers. This was a movie that when it came out I passed on because I didn’t expect it to be that good, but I kept hearing awesome things about it from various people. After having seen it, I have to agree; this movie was awesome. It’s much more action driven than story driven (it’s a movie based off of action figures, how much plot do you expect?), but I don’t feel like that hurts the movie in the slightest. An absolute purchase when it comes out on DVD. My score: 8.5/10
