Nothing Extra Included

July 14th, 2007 @ 11:36 PM

Taking an approximately 900 page book and condensing it down into just over a two hour movie means that quite a bit is going have to be cut, and while I can’t name specifically more than about three things there were cut out, Order of the Phoenix very obviously follows a very streamlined version of the book with virtually nothing being included in the movie that isn’t directly related to the plot progression. It was very good, and I liked it better than the movie version of Goblet of Fire in some ways, but big character development this movie had not. My score: 9/10.

I intended on starting to read Half-Blood Prince again today, but I always got distracted with other things. I’ll probably start it tomorrow afternoon and then finish it up around the middle of the week. After all, I need to finish it by Sunday which is when I’ll be getting the 7th book to read.
