A “Super” Day for Everything Except Homework

February 4th, 2007 @ 10:03 PM

I got (or rather, will by the time I go to sleep) enough homework done this weekend so that I’m not really behind on anything, and that can be attributed to the fact that church and this minor sporting event called the “Super Bowl” captured a great amount of my attention and time. The Indianapolis Colts won the Super Bowl (which was the team I wanted to win), and because one of my roommates last year is from Indiana, he was pretty happy about that also. The end of football season means one less distraction for me on Sundays, but I’m sure it won’t be too hard to replace with something else.

Sometime this next week Time Warner should be completing the integration of the A/B line system that has plagued my existence since we moved here. This should be happening on the 7th or 8th, and once it does I’ll probably be moving the Tivo back out into our den and set it up either to only handle the basic cable channels (without going through the cable box) or invent a way to allow it to control the cable box in addition to allowing the TV to connect to it directly for the HD channels. Again, this is way more complicated than I’d like for it to be, but the ideal solution just hasn’t become available yet.
