It (Doesn’t Quite) All Come Down to This
Tomorrow is Game 10 (i.e. the last one) of the regular season, and it’s against the only other undefeated team in our district, West Mesquite. This means that tomorrow we’ll be playing them for the district championship. Now, what does this mean? Except for keeping our winning streak going and winning the 10-4A trophy, not too much. We’ll still be Division I, and we’ll still play McKinney North next week; similarly, West Mesquite will still make the playoffs and will still be Division II. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely don’t want us to lose, but aside from a winning streak and a (cool, but arguably meaningless) trophy, the game tomorrow doesn’t mean that much.
I finished registering today for all my classes after playing the signature collect-a-thon for the ATEC Independent Study class. I also learned about (and got invited to) a series of presentations/sessions this upcoming Tuesday over the Far Future project with the people from the government. Basically, from 10-5 (with maybe like an hour break in there where I’ll go to part of Physics) I’ll be sitting in on all these different sessions learning the current state of the project and where it’s kinda headed. I think this is going to be my most fun class next semester, and I hope it’s something that continues for a while.
