The Final Days

June 20th, 2006 @ 11:54 PM

The movers come a week from tomorrow to essentially move everything of ours out of this house and into our new one. I’m still making progress on getting all of my stuff packed up, but I would like to point out that I am making progress even though much of what is going into boxes wasn’t visible in the first place (being under my bed, in my closet, or up on shelves that no one ever noticed). Our new (fast) internet service will be hooked up next Thursday, so that means we won’t be without net access for too long. The one caveat is that the router has to be mounted fairly close to the terminal box which I think will be in the garage. If the wireless works throughout the house then I guess that’ll be fine, but I see needing to set up an access point up where the HDTV and stuff will go to reach up to my dad’s study especially.

The Mavs lost both Game 6 and the series tonight, and the strange thing is that I don’t think anyone saw this result after we went up 2-0 in the series. Oh, and I saw Nacho Libre today. This is one of the very few movies I’ve seen recently that I would have possibly walked out in the middle of had I been there by myself. Now, we’re not talking The Village bad, but definitely not good. 4/10 rating, max.
