My Blog, My Life

June 4th, 2006 @ 11:23 PM

The new blog theme (with some slight tweakings to the way it came) should be apparent, and I decided to add in a “description” so that the image at the top (which I like but is slightly large) wouldn’t appear to serve absolutely zero purpose. That description? “My Blog, My Life” (absolutely, completely ripped off from the American Express “My Card, My Life” commercials) because let’s face it, that’s really the whole purpose of The Daily Goob. I also got around to writing the About page finally, so hopefully everything now works as expected.

One thing I love about WordPress over Blogger is that things get timestamped as of when I hit “Publish”, not when I load up the page to begin typing. For example, I’ve had the page open since much earlier this afternoon, but each time I update it to preview, it gets the correct timestamp. And, if I go back and edit posts, it also knows not to update the timestamp. Apparently I’m not the only person in the world who didn’t like Blogger’s approach to things. :)

After having some more time to think about it, I’d put the chances of me volunteering to help next year with baseball back up closer to 85%. I’m still going to know a decent number of the players (Nick, Joey, and Sam probably being the three main), I expect that they’ll be happy to have me around since Preston will still be the trainer, and let’s face it, I really do enjoy doing it (even though I still have zero desire to pursue training as a profession). So, unless the traveling for football completely turns me off of the idea, I’m probably going to be a part of the HP Baseball playoffs next year.
