That’s honestly the best way I can describe Killer 7. Yet another “different” (although not necessarily in a bad way) game, so it should at the very least provide an original experience. Does the fact that you play as the seven different personalities of a psychotic wheelchair-bound man and gather blood from enemies to upgrade your character’s stats bother anyone? Good, me neither…
Flightplan was a pretty good movie and was another movie like Cellular where it’s more of an action/suspense movie than actually scary. Next weekend after the church cleanup is Serenity. If I like that movie a bunch, I’ll probably order the Firefly boxed set off of Amazon (since it’s based on that cancelled show).

I guess by far the biggest news right now that has my attention is the controller announcement for Nintendo’s new console. Both Gamespot and IGN have pages up with their impressions of it, but the general consensus is that pretty much everyone who has seen it in action loves the possibilities that this open up for gameplay. The Revolution will be the only one out of the three next-gen consoles I currently plan on getting on launch day (Xbox 360 I’ll get in February or March, and PS3 completely depends on the price), but I’m definitely looking forward to it.
School has been…..school. Still not enjoying being out there all that much, but at least I’m used to it now. None of my classes are super hard, so at least I don’t have to work insanely hard at anything. Next semester with Physics will most likely be a very different story though. :(
I’d also like to point out that I started this post yesterday (the 16th), but it’s been here sitting half-completed in an open Firefox tab for the past (almost) 24 hours. Really kinda sad that I not only get sidetracked when thinking about making a blog post, but also when actually making one…

Before anyone decides to think that refers to my opinion of being out here, trust me, it doesn’t. Over the three day weekend (which I loved), I beat Superstar Saga and started Metal Arms: Glitch in the System (GCN) and resumed AW2: Black Hole Rising (GBA). The list a few posts back was my final revision of what I managed to complete over the summer, and while it would have been nice had I completed about 5 times as many games as I did, that’s still much better than any similar timeframe over the past few years. All the new games are starting to come out for the holidays (including the Xbox 360, but I’m holding off on getting that until probably February or March of next year), so at least I managed to get my backlog down a little before this new onslaught. It would be interesting if I went through and made a list of all my yet to be finished games to see what’s there (since I probably have forgotten around 25% of them). I promise that I’ll eventually get to the point where I only have 2-3 games in progress at once and no unopened games (and luckily I still have a good 70 years or more to make good on that promise :) ).
First day of baseball practice was today, and even though it was entirely all new, there was still something about it that just felt refreshing. Since they have Monday as their off day, I only do that Tuesdays and Wednesdays (Thursday and Friday, for those of you who don’t know, are spent being a trainer for the HP football teams). The coach seems nice, all the players I’ve met so far have been cool, so I think it will be fun — the big choice I might face though is if Coach Gibbins asks me to come back to work HP Baseball in the spring. I don’t think that will happen (they have Preston who technically is the next in line to do Varsity Baseball), but you never know. Seeing as how I’d know almost the entire team, I’d love to do it (obviously I couldn’t do things like the Austin tournament), but it would have to be one or the other — I don’t think theres any possible way I could handle both (even if somehow the schedules managed not to overlap). If that situation comes up I’ll deal with it then, but as I mentioned before, I’m not really expecting it to.
